Role Overview

The Global Controller will act as a key executive responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the corporation's financial statements while upholding an outstanding internal control framework. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this leader manages end-to-end global accounting, financial reporting, and compliance functions.

Core Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of precise and transparent consolidated global financial statements aligned with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and applicable regulations.
Serve as the definitive authority on complex accounting policies, guaranteeing consistent application across all international divisions.
Direct the execution of financial closing processes monthly, quarterly, and annually with rigor and efficiency.
Supervise the preparation and submission of all external financial disclosures, including SEC filings when required.
Develop and sustain a comprehensive global internal control framework, emphasizing Sarbanes-Oxley compliance to safeguard assets and data integrity.
Manage relationships and interactions with external auditors, regulators, and internal audit teams globally.
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial and operational risks related to accounting, treasury, and foreign exchange activities.
Collaborate strategically with executive leadership including the CFO and CEO to provide financial analyses driving worldwide business expansion.
Lead and cultivate a high-performing distributed team across controllership, accounting, tax, and treasury disciplines.
Promote finance process innovation, including global ERP and accounting system selection and enhancement.
Leverage AI and technology advancements to support and scale business operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related areas; MBA or Master's degree in Accounting highly preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or equivalent mandatory.
At least 15 years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience, including 7 years in a senior leadership capacity (VP, SVP, CAO) managing global accounting in a multinational publicly traded entity.
Advanced technical knowledge in U.S. GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting, and SOX-compliant control frameworks.
Strong executive presence, communication proficiency, with demonstrated success leading large geographically dispersed teams.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated annual base salary for this full-time position ranges from $234,000 to $350,000, influenced by qualifications, experience, and location. Eligibility for discretionary bonuses also exists.
