Role overview
LP3 is an Irish-owned consultancy working across GIS, land, property, and project management. The firm focuses on delivering end-to-end support for large renewable energy developments and is hiring an experienced GIS Analyst for a full-time remote position based in Ireland.
In this role, you will support the wider team by delivering high-quality GIS services to multiple departments. The position offers exposure to challenging assignments, the chance to build expertise in GIS tools, and close collaboration with colleagues on fast-moving projects.
Key responsibilities
- Support the team with GIS and cartography work for wind and solar development initiatives.
- Gather, process, organise, and analyse geospatial datasets from a range of sources to aid planning and decision-making.
- Produce clear, accurate, compliant map outputs and visual materials for project assessments.
- Carry out spatial analysis tasks such as site suitability studies and constraint mapping.
- Work with cross-functional teams to embed GIS data into project planning and maintain accurate geospatial records.
- Help build and maintain GIS databases while protecting data quality, integrity, and availability.
- Keep current with developments in GIS tools and methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, in GIS, geography, environmental science, or a closely related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience.
- Strong eye for detail and the ability to work with and manipulate large data volumes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong interest in renewable energy development projects.
- Committed work style and a clear drive to succeed.
- Working knowledge of GIS software, especially ArcGIS, plus experience with spatial analysis techniques; training can be provided where needed.
- Preferred: familiarity with renewable energy concepts and sector-specific geospatial data needs.
- Preferred: understanding of land-use planning, environmental rules, and permitting processes linked to renewable energy projects.
- Full-time availability only.
- Remote role based in Ireland, with occasional office visits required for team meetings and/or training.
- English language proficiency is required.
- Work authorisation for Ireland is required.
- Schedule is Monday to Friday.
