Role Overview

We are looking for an expert in Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) to lead Binance's visibility and authoritative citation across AI-driven search platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude. This individual contributor role requires close collaboration with Content, Technology, and Data teams to establish GEO as a systematic and measurable acquisition channel, bridging citation gaps compared to competitors and cementing Binance's position as a definitional authority in AI-generated cryptocurrency content.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead Binance's representation and citation authority on all major large language models (LLMs), scaling entity presence effectively.
• Develop and maintain llms.txt files, structured data, and knowledge graph signals across all relevant pages, including modifications for regional differences.
• Define GEO as a distinct acquisition channel by establishing metrics such as impressions, citations, and referral tracking, creating measurement systems where absent.
• Identify AI citation shortcomings and translate them into content development needs, integrating GEO strategies into Content, Technology, and Data processes from initial briefs through deployment.
• Conduct continuous testing of LLM prompts and citation audits to ensure optimal performance and identify regressions.
• Analyze competitor GEO standings (including Coinbase, Kraken, OKX, Bybit, Crypto.com) to identify and prioritize content opportunity gaps.
• Interpret log and query data to understand AI crawler behaviors, citation patterns, and content architecture inefficiencies.
• Monitor trends in GEO and AI search technologies such as LLM retrieval methods, multimodal search, entity authority, and E-E-A-T principles on AI platforms; create actionable frameworks for the SEO team.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 5 to 6 years of direct SEO experience, including technical SEO at an enterprise scale.
• Deep, mechanistic knowledge of large language models’ retrieval, weighting, and citation processes (including RAG architecture and ranking signals), transcending basic tool use or prompt familiarity.
• Proven capability to independently define and spearhead GEO or technical SEO strategies instead of only executing preset plans.
• Expertise in structured data/schema markup, entity-based content design, and knowledge graph signals.
• Proficiency with crawl and index analysis, log file examination, and extracting insights using Python or SQL at scale.
• Experience developing measurement frameworks and channel attribution models in the absence of existing tools.
• Experience working in large cross-functional setups encompassing Content, Technology, Data, and Compliance teams rather than solely agency or individual contributor roles.
• Background in cryptocurrency, fintech, or similarly regulated and trust-sensitive industries is highly favorable.
