About the Role
RSK Ireland Ltd., a leading geotechnical, contaminated land, and hydrogeological consultancy, invites applications for a full-time Geo-Environmental Consultant based in Dublin with hybrid working arrangements. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a large, dynamic geoscience team serving clients across diverse sectors including marine, industry, construction, energy, and property.
Key Duties
- Lead or assist with Phase I & II geo-environmental site investigations across various project scales, receiving support from senior staff as needed.
- Conduct onsite works using multiple intrusive investigation techniques.
- Collect groundwater, surface water, and ground gas samples adhering to relevant standards.
- Perform soil logging according to current protocols and manage laboratory scheduling.
- Carry out incident response site visits and compile associated reports.
- Complete Preliminary Risk Assessments and Phase 1 Desk Studies.
- Prepare Draft Generic Quantitative Risk Assessments.
- Support and coordinate multiple project types.
- Engage in Continuing Professional Development to enhance and maintain technical expertise.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a BSc degree in Geology or a related environmental discipline; MSc in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Contaminated Land is advantageous.
- Has at least two years of relevant professional experience.
- Possesses a solid grasp of laboratory testing procedures and interpreting data.
- Experienced in groundwater monitoring and knowledgeable about sampling methods.
- Familiar with environmental legislation and guidelines.
- Demonstrates strong written and oral communication abilities.
- Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Prepared to spend extensive periods onsite and travel away from home as required.
- Holds a full clean driving licence.
