About the company
Corner Health is an early-stage technology business creating the operating platform behind independent primary care. The company equips Nurse Practitioners with the tools needed to launch and operate their own practices, including billing support, insurance infrastructure, and AI-driven workflow automation.
The business describes itself as on track to become the fastest-growing in-person primary care company ever. It was founded by Lava Sunder and Anne Gifford and has raised a Series A supported by leading investors along with founders from DoorDash, Commure, Grow Therapy, Kindred, Culdesac, and others.
About the role
Corner Health is building a new kind of care model: a network of local, independent, in-person primary care practices powered by modern software. The company says this model is already resonating strongly with patients, with 88% preferring a provider powered by Corner Health over alternatives and patients returning at twice the national average.
Because patients trust the provider relationship and keep coming back in person, the business sees many possible growth paths, including follow-up care, longitudinal programs, longevity services, cash and wellness offerings, stronger retention loops, and new ways to engage patients.
This is not a fixed, traditional job description. Instead, the role will be shaped around the candidate’s strengths, interests, and the company’s most urgent needs as it grows.
The person in this position will help keep day-to-day operations moving, push important projects forward, and fill gaps wherever they appear, while also having the freedom to focus on areas they are most excited about. The role is designed for someone who likes building, learns quickly, and is comfortable taking on many different responsibilities. You will work closely with the founders and contribute from the earliest stage of the company.
What you will do
- Design and improve practical operating systems and workflows for daily work, turning vague problems into clear processes and completing them independently.
- Move across several functions as needed, including operations, product, customer success, recruiting, and other business priorities that come up.
- Identify issues early, suggest solutions, and act quickly before small problems grow.
- Work directly with the founders on high-impact tasks and help remove roadblocks.
- Join customer conversations, collect feedback, troubleshoot issues, and convert insights into action.
- Run quick experiments, evaluate what works, and refine ideas without getting attached to the first version.
- Bring order to fast-changing, unclear situations by creating structure and clarity.
What the company is looking for
- Approximately 2 to 3 years of experience in a fast-moving environment such as a startup, small team, agency, or something similar.
- Interest in working on site at the Santa Monica, CA office; candidates should either already live in Los Angeles or be willing to relocate there.
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes, not just assigned tasks.
- Comfort learning new tools, systems, and subject areas quickly.
- Clear, concise communication skills, especially when speaking with customers, partners, and leadership.
- Ease with uncertainty and shifting priorities.
- A builder mindset and preference for creating new systems rather than maintaining existing ones.
- Humility and a willingness to contribute wherever needed, regardless of title.
- A preference for action and rapid shipping over waiting for perfect conditions.
- Resourcefulness and persistence when there is no obvious path forward.
What would help you stand out
- Background in health technology or healthcare operations.
- Experience helping something grow from zero to one.
- Genuine interest in supporting independent medical providers.
- Curiosity about wellness and longevity trends, combined with an evidence-based approach.
- Strong motivation to help build a company that patients genuinely trust.
Benefits
- Competitive pay with equity upside.
- High-quality health and dental coverage.
- Health and wellness stipend.
- Eligibility for the company-sponsored 401(k) plan.
Working style and culture
The team is small, highly autonomous, and expected to take ownership. The company is driven by relationships with providers and the impact it has on patient lives.
The team celebrates provider growth milestones, positive patient reviews, and fast feature delivery. The company uses strong tools to move quickly and aims to have a direct, tangible effect on health outcomes.
One of the company values is that life is short and it is okay to laugh, so the culture includes hard work along with fun moments like team dinners, mini golf, and brainstorming sessions.
