Role overview
The General Cashier is responsible for overseeing hotel cash handling activities, protecting cash resources, and compiling the financial reports connected to cash movements. The position also supports the Finance Department in whatever is needed to keep operations running smoothly, while staying aligned with company policies, legal requirements, and contractual obligations.
This role works closely with finance colleagues across the hotel and collaborates with teams in other departments. It also takes part in finance-related training and development initiatives. Where the position is shared with another role, duties will follow Hilton’s job segregation policy and any applicable joint-role arrangement.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the hotel’s cash activities and maintain proper control over cash assets.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to cash transactions.
- Support the Finance Department with additional tasks needed for efficient daily operations.
- Work in partnership with hotel finance staff and cross-functional department teams.
- Join finance training and development programs as required.
- Follow Hilton’s job segregation policies when duties are shared within a joint role setup.
