Job Overview

The Food & Beverage Controller leads the implementation of strategies across the property to consistently deliver outstanding products and services tailored to meet the expectations of the brand’s target customers and employees. This role provides essential financial expertise to support the brand's service strategy and initiatives while maximizing investment returns.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and market trends to aid strategic decision-making.
• Support budget creation by forecasting sales versus expenses and monitoring actual sales against projections.
• Identify opportunities to enhance profits through cost-benefit analysis and exploration of new business avenues.
• Evaluate discrepancies between actual and forecasted wage budgets to improve planning.
• Develop and execute innovative business plans thoughtfully and creatively to maintain competitive advantage.
• Establish controls to mitigate business risks effectively.
• Lead and inspire the accounting team and other department managers, ensuring clear communication of goals and accountability.
• Support the property’s financial and accounting strategies, submitting timely reports and ensuring accuracy in profit and loss documentation.
• Review audit issues and ensure necessary corrections are implemented.
• Manage taxation compliance, audit processes, and adherence to operating procedures diligently.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and proper matching of costs to revenues.
• Understand and anticipate the needs of stakeholders, aligning financial management with ownership goals and ROI expectations.
• Advise executive leadership on operating and financial matters and facilitate management reviews.
• Oversee human resources activities including team cross-training, fair policy administration, orientation, training, and career development plans.

Candidate Profile

• Graduated with a 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; prior work experience is not required.
