Role Summary and Responsibilities
The Financial Accountant will provide comprehensive accounting support to ensure accurate and timely closure of monthly and quarterly financial books alongside successful completion of external audits. Emphasis will be placed on maintaining clear focus on gross margins, net profits, free cash flow, and shareholder value creation.
- Support preparation of monthly board reports including consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, ratio analysis, and detailed commentary.
- Assist in compiling IFRS-compliant financial statements with supporting schedules.
- Contribute to foreign exchange risk management activities for the group.
- Maintain strong financial reporting standards and internal controls across the organisation.
- Respond to ad hoc information requests as needed.
- Support monitoring and reporting on working capital and its metrics.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting exercises for annual financial plans.
- Calculate and distribute financial and operational performance metrics.
- Analyze variances between actuals and budgets/forecasts and report findings to management.
- Maintain documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate regularly with auditors for statutory reviews and audits.
- Prepare statutory returns including tax and employment filings.
- Manage internal audit processes with ongoing reviews.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with key financial controls.
- Assist in accounting integration of acquired entities and interpretation of purchase agreements.
- Support the implementation of IFRS frameworks across the group.
- Enhance financial controls and reporting processes to support business operations and growth.
- Contribute to the development of financial systems and processes aligned with scalability plans.
- Execute other assigned duties as required.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant possessing a minimum of 3-4 years post-qualification experience in relevant roles.
- Exceptional deadline management skills.
- Proven experience collaborating with commercial, product, and operational teams to support daily decision-making.
- Strong grasp of managing business operations across multiple international locations.
- Familiarity with Salesforce/Financial Force platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office suites.
