Finance Manager - Operations

Role Overview

As the embedded finance business partner for Operations, this role delivers financial leadership, strategic analysis, and decision support to venue managers, aiming to enhance profitability and optimize costs in varied entertainment venues.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage overall P&L results for assigned venues by evaluating multiple revenue lines including ticket sales, food and beverage, retail, and attractions, while monitoring costs to meet EBITDA and profit goals.
• Act as a trusted financial advisor to operations and venue teams by engaging early in planning discussions, interpreting financial data into meaningful insights, and helping guide decisions rather than merely validating figures.
• Analyze operational metrics such as spending per visitor, attendance against projections, revenue per guest, labor cost ratios, and F&B margins to suggest performance enhancements.
• Collaborate with venue managers on budget creation and forecasting, factoring in seasonality, events, and capacity, and deliver variance analyses accompanied by corrective advice.
• Identify and implement cost reduction strategies without diminishing guest experience through monitoring labor scheduling efficiency, vendor expenses, and enforcing cost controls alongside operations leaders.
• Ensure adherence to financial control policies by overseeing venue cash handling processes, tracking inventory and shrinkage, and supporting internal as well as external audits.
• Lead and develop the finance team by defining goals, mentoring operations finance analysts, and fostering a strong team culture focused on delivering business value.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; MBA is preferred.
• Certifications such as Certified Management Accountant are preferred; Certified Public Accountant designation is advantageous.
• At least 6 to 7 years of relevant finance experience, demonstrating significant expertise in the field.
