Role Responsibilities
The Expeditor acts as a crucial liaison connecting the kitchen and customers, ensuring that orders are prepared promptly, uphold Nando’s quality standards, and are delivered accurately. Responsibilities include prepping and packaging take-out orders and offering friendly, warm service as the final point of contact for takeout customers. Expeditors must balance efficiency with professionalism to deliver excellent dining experiences.
Minimum Qualifications and Expectations
- Capable of taking direction and collaborating within a team setting
- Maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure
- Dedicated to quality service with clear knowledge of food and beverage offerings
- Understanding of safety, sanitation, and proper food handling protocols
- Basic proficiency in English and professional communication skills
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds independently for extended durations
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs while handling food and dishware throughout shifts
- Capacity to stand or move continuously for 8 to 10 hours daily
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Physical actions including reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, and pulling
- Capability to lift items overhead and navigate stairs in multi-level restaurant settings
