Job Overview
Join our esteemed hospitality team as the Executive Pastry Chef at The Plaza Doha LXR Hotels & Resorts where your creativity and leadership will brighten guests' experiences. In this role, you will lead the pastry kitchen operations, mentor your team, and oversee the creation of exquisite pastries, desserts, and baked goods that leave a lasting impression on every guest.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the pastry kitchen ensuring outstanding quality, consistency, and smooth coordination across all outlets and functions.
- Supervise the production of breads, viennoiserie, pastries, specialty desserts, guaranteeing all items meet and exceed the hotel's brand standards.
- Innovate and implement seasonal dessert menus and signature pastries that align with culinary trends and cater to guest preferences.
- Maintain high standards of presentation and creativity in every product, delivering a memorable guest experience.
- Handle inventory control including purchases, stock management, production planning, and ensuring minimal waste to meet food cost objectives.
- Lead recruitment, training, and ongoing development of the pastry team fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and performance excellence.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, food safety, sanitation, and company policies to provide a safe and orderly work environment.
