For more than 35 years, they have specialized in producing L-Menthol through advanced asymmetric synthesis technology, allowing production of unique, nature-identical aroma ingredients as well as pharmaceutical intermediates and fine chemicals. Their global presence includes offices, production, and R&D facilities across 27 countries and regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehend various scent profiles and Takasago's olfactive terminology to develop descriptive and creative associations.
- Gain familiarity with and maintain the Takasago fragrance library, identify gaps, and optimize fragrance assets.
- Engage actively in evaluation sessions involving current projects, stability testing in product matrices, and launches across assigned categories.
- Collaborate on project management alongside Senior Evaluators and team members, including developing scent strategies, establishing communication platforms with Perfumers and colleagues, and providing clear project status updates.
- Build and refine sensory and evaluation skills to support creative decision-making.
- Learn and implement in-house and client-specific evaluation protocols, including managing internal sensory panels.
- Stay informed about market trends, product innovations, and consumer preferences in the Asia Pacific and beyond to inspire fragrance creativity.
- Participate in analyzing consumer test results and understand market research methodologies and tools.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or higher in Perfumery, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- At least three years of experience evaluating fragrances across multiple categories.
- Demonstrable consistent growth in client-facing roles and fragrance development projects.
- Deep passion for fragrance, storytelling through scents, and sharing knowledge.
- Solid understanding of sensory evaluation techniques and fragrance chemistry.
- Ability to work independently yet collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
