Estimation Engineer

About the Role

China State Construction Middle East (CSCEC ME) is seeking a qualified Estimation Engineer to work at its headquarters in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed cost estimations for projects by reviewing and analyzing tender documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate budgeting.

Key Responsibilities

• Review schematic designs, tender drawings, contractual documents, bills of quantity, and specifications thoroughly.
• Verify completeness of documentation and identify any missing information or unclear scopes of work.
• Confirm tender submission requirements and ensure all specifications and BOQs per system are up to date.
• Initiate supplier inquiries from approved vendor lists, select alternative suppliers as needed, and maintain proactive communication with suppliers, providing timely feedback.
• Ensure the proposed scope and technical aspects comply with project requirements to reduce exclusions or deviations, negotiating the most competitive offers.
• Complete standard comparison sheets and incorporate costs for any omitted items.
• Choose the most suitable quotations and price the refined BOQs, summarizing project budgets system-wise.
• Conduct thorough checks to avoid errors in costing and prepare detailed cost analysis reports.
• Identify and highlight any risks or uncertainties related to cost items.

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Have at least 4 years of experience in a relevant estimation or engineering role.
