Role Summary

This position involves daily upkeep and inspection of electrical systems and plumbing fixtures within a healthcare environment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The candidate will oversee maintenance tasks, biomedical equipment servicing, pest control supervision, housekeeping coordination, procurement activities, and vendor management to support facility functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of electrical components including panel boards and distribution boards across all floors and basement areas.
• Perform daily generator (DG) checks and heat pump inspections to guarantee hot water availability in patient rooms.
• Conduct routine rounds across all floors and patient rooms to monitor plumbing fixtures and electrical issues, promptly resolving any identified faults.
• Record readings for BESCOM, DG, and BWSSB water meters.
• Follow up on biomedical waste management and maintain biomedical devices such as autoclaves, oxygen concentrators, and suction machines; coordinate repairs including coil replacements and motor fixes.
• Oversee repairs related to patient cots including side railings, hydraulics, welding works, and wheel replacements in liaison with vendors.
• Carry out daily pest inspections in patient rooms, initiate primary remedial actions (e.g., use of steamer machines) upon detection, coordinate pest control services in accommodation areas (PG), and monitor pest control activities on a weekly and biweekly basis.
• Supervise cleaning of general areas and coordinate waste disposal, including bio-medical and general waste, working closely with BBMP, the Maridi team, and housekeeping staff.
• Manage procurement of materials related to electrical, plumbing, IT, wheelchairs, painting, and carpentry supplies from local vendors and markets; oversee diesel purchases for genset operation.
• Coordinate electrical and plumbing tasks, cot shifting and assembling, pest control, bed acquisitions, and painting in the PG area, including the collection and handover of BESCOM and BWSSB bills to accounts on a weekly basis.
• Manage vendor relationships for genset, lift, air conditioning, and water purifier maintenance as well as follow up on BBMP, biomedical waste, and food waste management services.

Additional Information

Salary ranges between INR 20,000 and INR 30,000 per month. This role operates onsite in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu and requires consistent engagement with various vendor teams and facility operations to maintain healthcare standards.
