About the Company

Neurosight Robotics provides advanced industrial inspection services using drones, robotic crawlers, and underwater ROVs. The company focuses on inspections in confined spaces, asset integrity assessments, non-destructive testing carried out with drones, and 3D digital twin development. Its work supports clients in energy, mining, and infrastructure by helping them inspect critical assets while reducing cost, risk, and downtime compared with traditional access methods.

Role Overview

This position is for an experienced Drone Pilot / Robotic Inspection Technician to support field operations. The role involves operating specialist inspection systems inside tanks, vessels, flare stacks, and other difficult-to-access industrial environments, while gathering high-quality visual and NDT data used for asset integrity decisions.

Key Duties

  • Fly confined-space inspection drones, such as the Flyability Elios 3, within tanks, vessels, silos, and other enclosed structures.
  • Operate drone-based NDT systems, including platforms like the Voliro T, to collect ultrasonic testing, pulsed eddy current, DFT, and other corrosion or thickness measurements.
  • Use robotic crawlers for inspections of pipes, tanks, and structural assets.
  • Collect inspection data and verify its quality in line with relevant standards, including API 653 and ASME Section V.
  • Coordinate with NDT technicians and inspectors to plan and carry out site inspections safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare clear inspection data sets and assist with report preparation.
  • Travel to client locations across Australia, with occasional international project travel.

Requirements

  • A current RePL (Remote Pilot Licence), or a genuine willingness to obtain one.
  • Proven experience flying drones in confined or technically challenging environments.
  • Strong hands-on flying ability and good decision-making under pressure.
  • Comfort and confidence working at heights, in confined spaces, and on industrial worksites.
  • Current confined-space and working-at-heights certifications, or a willingness to secure them.

Preferred Experience

  • NDT training or hands-on exposure with UT, PEC, DFT, EMAT, LPS, or similar methods.
  • Experience in oil and gas, mining, or other heavy industrial settings.
  • Familiarity with robotic crawlers, ROVs, or laser scanning and LiDAR tools.
  • Site safety inductions relevant to the resources or energy sectors.

What the Company Offers

  • A varied, practical role using advanced inspection technology.
  • Opportunities to work on significant projects in energy, mining, and infrastructure.
  • A small, collaborative team where your ideas can influence how work is delivered.
  • Room to expand your expertise across drones, robotics, and NDT.
