Drama Teacher

Position Overview

Trivandrum International School (TRINS) is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Drama Teacher dedicated to motivating students by delivering immersive theatre and performing arts education.

Key Duties

• Design and conduct dynamic drama lessons tailored to student development.
• Enhance students' abilities in acting, improvisation, vocal techniques, physical movement, and stagecraft.
• Coordinate and direct theatrical productions, school assemblies, and drama-related events.
• Encourage creativity, self-confidence, teamwork, and communication skills among students.
• Evaluate student performance regularly and offer constructive critiques.
• Work collaboratively with faculty and engage in school-wide initiatives and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Drama, Theatre Arts, Performing Arts, or closely related discipline.
• B.Ed. or other recognized teaching credential is preferred.
• Have at least two years of teaching experience, ideally within an international school environment.
• Experience with IB or Cambridge curricula is beneficial.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Excellent organizational capacity and skills in theatre production.
• Deep enthusiasm for nurturing young minds through performing arts.
