Role Overview and Responsibilities

As part of the expanding Risk and Assurance team, the Document Controller will be responsible for administering documents and project deliverables using authorised document management systems such as InEight TeamBinder and Content Manager. Reporting to the Document Control Lead, duties include overseeing document control activities throughout the project's lifecycle.

  • Create, monitor, and maintain registers for documents, deliverables, and records across projects and corporate divisions.
  • Implement and uphold document management protocols to guarantee stakeholders access approved and current documentation.
  • Assist in the generation, review, approval, distribution, storage, and retrieval of controlled documents through official systems.
  • Develop and update procedures on document control, including naming standards, metadata policies, and information exchange protocols.
  • Manage coordination of document reviews, approvals, transmittals, and record keeping in alignment with document management requirements.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

Applicants should possess qualifications in Information Management, Business, or hold a Certificate IV in Business Administration, or have comparable professional experience. Proven expertise in document control within complex project settings is essential, along with skills managing information governance, stakeholder interaction, and handling multiple competing tasks.

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in Document Control in large, multi-disciplinary project environments.
  • Proficiency with InEight TeamBinder, including document uploading, workflow management, and package administration.
  • Experience with Content Manager (TRIM) and SharePoint will be considered highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of version control, change management concepts, and document register administration.
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and capacity to prioritize deadlines effectively.
