Development Analyst

About ESR Group

ESR Group is a prominent real asset manager in the Asia-Pacific region, specializing in New Economy sectors such as logistics, data centers, infrastructure, and renewable energy. We are expanding our Sydney team and looking for a driven and commercially savvy Development Analyst to contribute to our national Development efforts.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Construct, update, and assess development feasibility studies, cash flow models, and scenario analyses to guide investment and development decision-making processes.
• Produce comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual reports including investor updates, budgets, and financial reforecasts.
• Collaborate closely with Development, Funds Management, and Finance departments to analyze development prospects, leasing achievements, and project outcomes.
• Maintain and improve development databases, refine financial modelling, and enhance reporting mechanisms to support higher quality data and informed decisions.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to optimize workflows through technology integration, automation, and the application of AI tools.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Property, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field combined with a minimum of two years of pertinent work experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling and analysis, with proficient advanced Excel skills and familiarity with real estate or property datasets.
• Strong commercial insight enabling clear interpretation and communication of complex financial and market data.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, with the capacity to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• A proactive and inquisitive approach, enthusiasm for continuous improvement, and openness to leveraging technology and AI-driven methodologies.
