Overview
GEMS Founders School in Abu Dhabi, accredited as British Schools Overseas with outstanding standards, invites applications for the role of Data Executive. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute significantly to the school’s vision of growth and achievement while managing crucial school data functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SENCo to maintain accurate and current Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Individual Education Plan (IEP) data.
- Coordinate with medical teams to securely share essential medical information with staff.
- Work alongside the Examination Officer to manage internal exams effectively.
- Support student dispersal processes by coordinating with the Operations department.
- Partner with the Data and Assessment leader to ensure proper data collection and reporting on the SIMS system.
- Assist timetable leaders, Heads of Year, and Heads of Subject Areas to prepare class lists for upcoming academic sessions.
- Enter data carefully into Assessment Management systems and transfer school data from Excel sheets.
- Create, design, and generate reports highlighting school-wide data trends.
- Regularly update and maintain various Management Information System (MIS) modules.
- Add students and teachers to the MIS system by creating user accounts and login credentials.
- Provide class lists, medical, dietary, and attendance reports, keeping these documents current.
- Deliver targeted training to teaching and administrative staff on selected software packages with a focus on SIMS and assessment data recording procedures.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates teamwork, strong service orientation, and a keen willingness to learn.
- Possesses logical and analytical thinking abilities combined with advanced ICT skills, especially proficient use of Microsoft Office.
- Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective prioritization, planning, and organizational competencies.
- Holds a degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
- Brings 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in data management roles, preferably within educational settings.
- Understands school operations and has practical expertise in administering data management systems.
