Job Summary
We are looking for a meticulous and analytically skilled Data Analyst to join our fully remote team. The chosen candidate will gather, cleanse, and analyse various data sources to provide insightful, data-driven guidance that enhances business decisions, optimizes operations, and fosters growth. Collaboration with multiple departments is essential to deliver precise reporting and tailored data recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, cleanse, validate, and examine data from diverse sources to ensure accuracy.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalents.
- Develop and refine SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and generating reports.
- Detect trends, patterns, and opportunities via statistical methods.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) regularly.
- Work closely with business, product, finance, marketing, and operations teams to comprehend reporting needs.
- Conduct ad hoc data analyses and communicate results effectively to stakeholders.
- Automate reporting workflows to boost efficiency and precision.
- Maintain data quality, integrity, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Document data handling procedures, methodologies, and standards for reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Between 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or equivalent roles.
- Advanced skills in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization platforms.
- Proficiency in Python or R for conducting data analysis and automating tasks.
- Solid understanding of statistical techniques, data modeling, and cleansing processes.
- Strong analytical thinking, critical evaluation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex data insights clearly.
- Comfortable working independently within a remote work setup.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ETL systems, data warehousing solutions, and various business intelligence tools.
- Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Basic familiarity with machine learning concepts and predictive analytics.
- Background in industries like SaaS, fintech, healthcare, e-commerce, or retail.
- Experience collaborating with remote or international teams.
