About the Team
The Data Science team at Stripe consists of a dynamic group of data analysts and data scientists who collaborate and learn together. You will engage with core data sets to support major company initiatives, and you're likely to be assigned to the most fitting Data Analytics team based on your experience.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with multiple teams to provide data models, products, and insights that help optimize user experience, product development, and business growth sustainably.
- Analyze Stripe's extensive and intricate data to extract meaningful insights in partnership with stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into data challenges and develop metrics, scalable data pipelines, dashboards, and reports to aid decision-making and daily operations.
- Communicate actionable business insights through thorough analyses and compelling data storytelling.
Candidate Profile - Essential Qualifications
- Master’s degree plus a minimum of two years, or a bachelor’s degree with at least three years, of relevant full-time experience in Business Intelligence Engineering, Data Analysis, or Business Analysis (excluding internships).
- Strong command of SQL for data querying.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to clearly present outcomes and foster impact.
- Ability to design, deploy, and maintain data pipelines and dashboards delivering stakeholder-driven insights.
- Experience working across teams to generate strategic insights, benchmarks, and analyses culminating in business recommendations.
- Competence in building self-service tools and providing training to enhance stakeholder data literacy and independent reporting capability.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working at an internet or software company during a growth phase.
- Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks such as Spark for building and debugging data pipelines.
- Understanding of software development methodologies including engineering standards, code reviews, and testing.
- Solid background in statistics.
- Working knowledge of Python programming.
- Experience delivering leadership-level reports such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs).
- Proficiency with AI tools that expedite model development, analysis, and coding.

Salary and Benefits
The annual salary range for this position in Toronto is between CA$147,900 and CA$221,900, with potential variation by location and candidate factors such as experience and qualifications.
