About the Role

We seek an experienced Data Analytics Specialist skilled at connecting business challenges with technical solutions. The position demands gathering requirements from stakeholders, understanding business workflows, translating these needs into system designs, and enabling data-supported decision-making. Collaboration with architects, data scientists, and business leaders will be key in conceptualizing, designing, and delivering impactful analytics projects. The role requires strong knowledge of the retail sector and involves client interactions.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with business users to gather detailed requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improvement driven by data insights.
Align business challenges with appropriate system workflows and data collation strategies.
Design and propose analytical solutions to meet identified needs.
Conduct exploratory data analysis, profiling, and quality verification.
Use basic statistical techniques to extract meaningful insights from data.
Collaborate closely with architects, data scientists, and business teams to ensure smooth execution of projects.
Assist in preparing project plans and deliverables.
Effectively communicate findings, methodologies, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Create reports, dashboards, and presentations tailored for business stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proficiency in SQL, including advanced querying, joins, filters, aggregations, view creation, and query optimization techniques.
Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation and analytical tasks.
Competence in Power BI for reporting, dashboard creation, and data analysis.
Strong understanding of retail business processes including pricing, merchandising, sales and returns, loyalty programs, customer behavior, supply chain, and marketing.
Ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create presentations using PowerPoint and Power BI for stakeholder engagement.
Experience collaborating across functions with architects, data scientists, and business users to articulate data science solutions to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance regulations.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
