PHOENIX Retail, LLC operates renowned apparel brands Express and Bonobos globally. Express is a fashion brand launched in 1980, dedicated to modern, confident, and effortless style through its extensive retail stores across the US and Puerto Rico, along with online platforms. Bonobos focuses on menswear with a unique retail approach offering personalized shopping experiences in its physical Guideshops and online.

This position is based at the Columbus Corporate Headquarters.

Role Summary

The role of Customer Data Analyst is pivotal in maintaining a comprehensive understanding of our customer base's health, focusing on both new and returning customers. This specialist role involves dissecting customer key performance indicators such as acquisition, retention, and reactivation, alongside assessing how product offerings, shopping experiences, and marketing efforts affect customer behavior. Collaboration with Marketing, Digital Media, E-Commerce, and Technology teams is essential to convert intricate data into actionable insights driving informed decision-making and business growth.

Core Duties

Analyze and report on customer core KPIs including acquisition, retention, reactivation, frequency of purchases, spending habits, and lifetime value.
Perform thorough analysis to identify the factors influencing customer trends and performance shifts.
Continuously monitor the customer base health to uncover risks and opportunities related to products, channels, and marketing strategies.
Assess marketing campaigns and product launches in driving customer growth and loyalty.
Work alongside Digital Marketing to support ecommerce and marketing data analytics.
Identify data-driven opportunities to optimize marketing ROI and enhance customer engagement.
Create and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility on customer and marketing performance metrics.
Simplify complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for merchandising, marketing, and leadership teams.
Contribute to the establishment of standardized reporting frameworks and routine performance evaluations.
Ensure the accuracy and consistency of the customer database by collaborating with Technology and Platform teams.
Maintain data integrity through validation, cleansing, and quality controls.
Partner cross-functionally for ongoing test-and-learn projects and process improvements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is advantageous.
Three to five+ years of experience in data analysis, specifically in customer or marketing analytics.
Demonstrated expertise with customer databases and large-scale datasets.
Proficient in data extraction, manipulation, and analysis techniques.
Experienced user of Google Analytics as well as CRM or marketing automation tools.
Skillful in data visualization and business intelligence platforms.
Advanced capabilities with Excel and familiarity with statistical analysis methods.
Background in e-commerce or digital-first business environments; fashion retail experience preferred.
Ability to independently handle multiple projects in a dynamic setting.
Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills for conveying insights to non-technical audiences.
