Overview
Join Securitas Ireland as a Corporate Security Officer, playing a key role in safeguarding clients, staff, and property at prestigious sites in Dublin 18. This position emphasizes maintaining a secure, professional, and welcoming environment to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals on premises.
Working Hours and Location
The role is located onsite in Carmanhall and Leopardstown, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, Ireland, offering flexible shift patterns from Monday through Sunday with a minimum of 36 hours weekly.
Compensation
The hourly rate is €19.59, complemented by a €20.00 night allowance and Sunday premium, resulting in an approximate composite salary of €45,130.98 based on an average 42-hour flexible workweek.
Key Responsibilities
- Prevent unauthorized site access and monitor fire, intruder alarms, and CCTV as per instructions.
- Conduct thorough internal and external patrols according to assignment guidelines.
- Perform routine testing and management of security equipment and maintain detailed logbooks and records.
- Handle key management tasks including locking and unlocking per procedures.
- Issue visitor and contractor passes and manage lost property responsibly.
- Support health and safety by guiding staff and visitors and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Record and report hazards, unsafe practices, faults, and accidents to supervisors.
- Keep walkways and emergency routes unobstructed and investigate fire alarm causes.
- Report potential loss, theft, or vandalism and conserve resources by turning off unnecessary lights during patrols.
- Operate communication and security devices effectively and conduct initial incident investigations with proper reporting.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, address issues proactively, and maintain a professional appearance.
- Adhere to company policies for shift check-ins, accurate documentation, handovers, and perform additional tasks as directed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a valid PSA Licence (number 00352).
- Strong observational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including fluency in English.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Professional demeanor with a neat and smart uniform appearance.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends.
- Competent PC skills and previous security experience preferred.
- Own transport and valid driver’s license considered advantageous.
