About the Role

We seek a skilled Corporate Insurance Manager to spearhead the enterprise's insurance strategy and manage comprehensive corporate insurance programs. This role involves overseeing claims, managing risks related to insurance, and ensuring thorough protection of assets and operations. You will collaborate with multiple departments such as Risk Management, Finance, Legal, and Executive Leadership to maintain strong insurance governance and business resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute corporate insurance strategies and governance frameworks that align with overall risk management objectives.
  • Oversee an extensive insurance portfolio covering areas like property, casualty, professional liability, cyber risks, D&O, workers' compensation, marine, aviation, construction, and business interruptions.
  • Partner with relevant departments to identify, assess, and address insurable risks comprehensively.
  • Perform risk assessments, exposure evaluations, policy analysis, and identify gaps in coverage.
  • Lead procurement, renewal, and negotiation of insurance policies, liaising with brokers and underwriters for optimal terms and costs.
  • Coordinate claims handling from initiation to resolution, working with insurers, legal teams, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Review contractual insurance requirements, certificates, indemnity clauses, and ensure vendor insurance compliance to reduce liabilities.
  • Stay abreast of emerging risks, regulatory updates, market trends, and the insurance landscape to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and maintain insurance policies, claim standards, reporting frameworks, and educational programs within the organization.
  • Advise on insurance aspects related to business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, M&A activities, and major projects.
  • Track performance indicators such as premium costs, claim frequency and severity, settlement timelines, policy compliance, broker performance, and overall risk costs.
  • Conduct insurance audits, claims analysis, benchmarking, effectiveness reviews, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Ensure full compliance with UAE insurance laws, corporate governance, accounting standards, and organizational policies.
  • Manage insurance budgets, broker and insurer relationships, claims platforms, policy management systems, consultants, and special projects.
  • Drive digital innovation by employing AI-enhanced claims analytics, predictive risk modeling, automation, and business intelligence tools.
  • Utilize systems like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft 365, Power BI, Tableau, RMIS, ERP platforms, and claims management software to enhance insurance program effectiveness.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards for senior leadership reflecting insurance portfolio health and strategic outlook.
  • Lead and develop insurance and risk teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous development.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business, Accounting, Law, Economics, or related disciplines.
  • Advanced qualifications such as an MBA or master’s in related fields are strongly preferred.
  • Professional certifications like ARM, CPCU, CII, CRM, CIP, PMP, or equivalents are highly advantageous.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in corporate insurance, enterprise risk, brokerage, or claims management with minimum 2 years leading insurance programs and portfolios.
  • Deep knowledge of commercial insurance lines, risk management, claims processes, underwriting, contract assessment, and business continuity planning.
  • Proficient in SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Office, Power BI, Tableau, RMIS, insurance platforms, ERP, and related analytical tools.
  • Experience with cutting-edge AI-based insurance analytics, digital claims platforms, workflow automation, and insurtech innovations preferred.
  • Strong skills in leadership, negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, analysis, project oversight, budgeting, organization, and problem resolution.
  • Ability to juggle multiple initiatives while maintaining compliance, budgets, schedules, and organizational goals.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in remote, distributed team environments with occasional travel as needed for insurer meetings and strategic events.
