Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-premises position located at KPR Institute's Coimbatore campus combining cooking duties and security responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals for students and staff, ensuring nutrition and taste.
• Uphold hygiene and safety standards within the kitchen environment.
• Manage basic inventory of cooking ingredients and supplies.
• Collaborate with kitchen and facility teams to deliver meals promptly.
• Monitor campus entry and exit points vigilantly.
• Conduct security patrols throughout the campus to maintain safety.
• Ensure compliance with institutional safety policies and protocols.
• Report any suspicious or unsafe activities promptly to authorities.
• Support emergency procedures and readiness.
• Work in shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to guarantee continuous food service and campus safety.

Candidate Qualifications

• Ability to prepare simple, wholesome meals while adhering to food safety and cleanliness standards.
• Familiarity with kitchen operations such as safe equipment use, ingredient storage, and waste management.
• Basic security skills including campus surveillance, access point monitoring, and calm incident response.
• Meticulous attention to detail and reliability in following procedures and institutional rules.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with students, staff, and team members.
• Physical fitness adequate for standing long hours, handling supplies, and performing security rounds.
• Previous experience in cooking, catering, security, or facility support is beneficial.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
