Role Summary
The Compliance Manager will deliver both local entity support and global compliance topic oversight. This role involves managing compliance activities for specific local entities and designing and implementing a global compliance topic across all locations, providing advice to both local and global leadership. The position is delivery-focused and business-oriented, aimed at embedding governance and integrity within Allianz Services' culture through practical compliance frameworks. Collaborating with senior management, various functions, and auditors, the incumbent will exercise sound judgment, provide constructive challenge, and drive measurable compliance outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and sustain a global compliance topic according to relevant policies, standards, and manuals.
- Support ongoing refinement of internal compliance rules and procedures to ensure alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and industry norms.
- Encourage sharing of best practices and lessons learned organization-wide to enhance governance quality and compliance effectiveness.
- Ensure strategic coordination of compliance objectives with corporate standards.
- Identify and leverage digital solutions for compliance initiatives and monitor emerging compliance risks and trends.
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in disciplines such as Law, Finance, Economics, or closely related fields, or equivalent professional background; certification in compliance (e.g., ICA) is a plus.
- Minimum of four years’ experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Regulatory Affairs, or similar governance roles, ideally within multinational organizations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex compliance issues for diverse stakeholders.
- Business-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for advising functions on process and value chain alignment.
- Proven experience working in international and matrixed environments with cross-geographical collaboration.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, conflict management, moderation, and presentation skills.
- Solid commitment to ethical standards and integrity.
- Fluency in English required; additional languages such as German, Romanian, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Malaysian, or Hindi highly advantageous.
- Interest or affinity for Information Technology and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) welcomed as valuable for the team.
