Community Representative (Live-in)

Position Overview

Homestead Land Holdings Limited is looking for a dedicated and energetic Community Representative for a live-in role at our St. Catharines property. This role blends maintenance, administrative, and customer service duties, serving as a central figure for residents and their needs. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week on a rotating schedule, including every other weekend, and must reside onsite.

Main Duties

• Carry out minor repairs in plumbing and electrical systems and oversee routine maintenance tasks.
• Keep common corridors and public spaces clean and well-maintained.
• Prepare vacated apartments for new tenants and maintain general building standards.
• Address tenant inquiries and concerns swiftly, maintaining a positive rapport with residents.
• Show vacant units to prospective tenants and handle the associated rental paperwork.
• Collect rents, record payments, and issue legal documents where required.
• Uphold resident safety procedures, maintain safety logs (fire and winter), and respond professionally to emergencies.
• Manage inventory of materials and participate in an on-call schedule for urgent issues.
• Carry out tasks as delegated by the Manager.

Qualifications

• Background in property management, maintenance, or cleaning is beneficial.
• Ability to obtain First Aid certification (cost covered by employer).
• Excellent communication, customer service skills, and a proactive work ethic.
• Capacity to remain positive and goal-focused under pressure.

Additional Information

• Position compensation ranges from $46,000 to $65,000, depending on skills and experience, and includes monetary value of the provided apartment and shift differentials.
