Commercial Analytics & Data Insights Manager

Overview

This role involves transforming complex and unstructured data into actionable business insights that drive commercial decisions. You will join an international retail organization investing heavily in its Commercial Analytics & Data Insights function. As part of an established team, you will lead significant analytics projects, promote data governance, and support senior leaders in making informed, timely decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide commercial insights that influence decision-making by collaborating with senior stakeholders to convert business challenges into analytical solutions, focusing on customer behavior, pricing, and growth opportunities.
• Ensure trusted reporting by supporting the creation of group-wide KPI definitions, enforcing reporting standards, and applying governance principles to enable confident decisions across multiple regions.
• Develop and refine Power BI dashboards and reporting tools that serve as primary sources of insight for the organization.
• Lead cross-functional analytics and reporting projects from initial planning through successful delivery, engaging closely with commercial, technology, and regional teams.
• Enhance data governance by driving improvements in data quality, consistency, and the maturity of organizational data capabilities.
• Communicate insights effectively by presenting findings in a clear and engaging manner that guides stakeholders on recommended actions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 7 years experience in Commercial Analytics, Business Intelligence or Data & Insights roles.
• Proficient in Power BI with strong skills managing complex datasets.
• Proven track record of executing analytics projects from conception to business integration.
• Strong commercial understanding with the ability to convert data into meaningful business recommendations.
• Familiarity with KPI frameworks, reporting standards, and data governance best practices.
• Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple business units.
• Previous experience in people leadership or mentoring is advantageous.
• Capable of balancing strategic thinking with hands-on involvement.
