Role Overview
We are seeking a Credit & Collections Analyst to join our Finance Operations team based in Bengaluru. This hybrid-position primarily supports the Order-to-Cash (O2C) process by ensuring prompt invoice collections, maintaining precise accounts receivable data, and upholding professional communication with clients. Flexibility to manage tasks across multiple time zones is required.
Main Responsibilities
- Consistently follow up on assigned invoices utilizing emails and phone calls to ensure timely payments while maintaining professionalism.
- Keep detailed updates post-correspondence on accounts receivable to ensure aging information is current, credits and collections are accurately posted, and uncollectible amounts are accounted for appropriately.
- Collaborate with Billing, Sales, and Legal departments to promptly resolve disputes, short payments, and discrepancies related to invoices.
- Accurately log all collection activities and notes within Salesforce CRM/GetPaid systems.
- Generate and present comprehensive aging reports and collection summaries to management.
- Participate in month-end closing activities, including accounts receivable reconciliations and bad debt assessments.
- Identify accounts at risk and escalate issues following internal credit policies.
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and internal financial controls.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience ranging from six months to two and a half years in collections, accounts receivable, or O2C operations.
- Thorough understanding of the Order-to-Cash end-to-end cycle.
- Proficiency using Salesforce CRM and enterprise resource planning tools such as SAP or Oracle.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Bengaluru with flexibility to support multiple business time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in B2B collections within SaaS or technology sectors.
- MBA in Finance is advantageous.
- Knowledge of GAAP revenue recognition principles.
- Experience with dispute tracking and credit risk evaluation.
