About the Role
This opportunity is offered through a partner organization seeking a Client Service Specialist based in the United States. The position involves supporting clients by delivering precise, responsive, and high-quality retirement plan administration services. You will operate at the convergence of financial services and technology to provide dependable solutions enhancing customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily retirement plan operations by overseeing workflows, prioritizing tasks, and escalating issues to maintain excellent service standards.
- Assist clients and internal partners with benefit payment processing, participant inquiries, special requests, and routine data reconciliation to support account management.
- Investigate and resolve routine or moderately complex issues while documenting actions taken and escalating more challenging cases as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams about administrative protocols, documentation needs, and service inquiries.
- Work collaboratively across departments to ensure services are delivered accurately and efficiently.
- Create and evaluate standard reports using internal tools to detect trends, aid decision-making, and verify reporting accuracy.
- Share knowledge and provide guidance to colleagues on procedures, processes, and technical subjects.
- Support training efforts, implement procedural updates, contribute to special projects, and drive continuous improvements.
- Identify improvement opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Maintain a positive client experience by delivering consistent, timely, and professional service.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of two years’ experience in client service, financial services, retirement plan operations, or a similar field; equivalent experience including education, training, or military service may be considered.
- Understanding of qualified and non-qualified benefit plan payment distributions is advantageous.
- Familiarity with plan documentation, administrative procedures, contracts, and financial products is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly explain procedures to clients and team members.
- Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and precision in managing financial data and administrative tasks.
- The ability to work independently yet collaborate well within a team environment.
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving aptitude, good reading comprehension, and basic math skills.
- Responsiveness to client needs while maintaining service quality.
- Limited travel may be required occasionally.
- Candidates with four or more years of relevant experience may qualify for Client Service Specialist II roles.
