Role overview

This is a full-time, on-site position in Delta, British Columbia. The Cleaning Specialist is responsible for carrying out detailed cleaning work across residential and commercial properties. The role covers routine tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing frequently touched surfaces, along with window care, carpet upkeep, restroom cleaning, waste disposal, and keeping shared spaces neat and organized.

What you will do

• Carry out deep and routine cleaning in residential and commercial settings.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect high-touch areas.
• Clean windows, maintain carpets, sanitize restrooms, and remove waste as needed.
• Keep common areas orderly, presentable, and hygienic.
• Work according to established cleaning methods and safety practices.
• Use the company’s equipment and supplies responsibly.
• Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards noticed during the shift.
• Complete tasks within scheduled timelines and coordinate with supervisors, coworkers, and clients when necessary.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have experience in commercial cleaning environments such as offices, retail locations, or similar business spaces. Experience with household cleaning and the ability to work from checklists and quality standards is also important. Familiarity with interior and, where safe, exterior window cleaning is required, along with basic carpet-care knowledge such as vacuuming and spot treatment. Candidates must be able to follow health and safety rules, including safe chemical use and proper PPE practices. Strong attention to detail, dependable time management, physical stamina for repetitive cleaning work, and clear communication skills are expected. The ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team is also important. Prior professional cleaning experience is preferred, though training may be offered to applicants with related experience and a strong work ethic.
