Job description

Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Cleaning Services Manager to oversee and enhance cleaning operations across our expanding remote village facilities in Western Australia. This leadership role, embedded within our Village Operations team, is vital for upholding high service standards, fostering robust client relationships, and nurturing a strong safety culture across diverse sites.

The role is full-time, working Monday through Friday, requiring frequent travel to remote villages. Partnering closely with site leaders and frontline staff, you will champion operational excellence and ensure consistent, safe, and quality cleaning services encompassing housekeeping, general facilities, and mining site environments.

Key Duties

  • Lead and mentor teams across multiple sites to boost performance by refining systems, eliminating inefficiencies, and instituting smarter, safer work practices.
  • Manage cleaning operations related to housekeeping, village facilities, and mine-site environments to ensure uniform service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with client contracts, meeting KPIs and maintaining service level agreements.
  • Oversee auditing, reporting, and contribute to investigations aimed at sustaining performance and compliance standards.
  • Plan and coordinate cleaning schedules, workforce deployment, and resource distribution across various locations.
  • Administer equipment and consumables management, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary communication link between senior leadership and site teams to address and remove operational obstacles.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting enhanced quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Experience and Competencies

  • Proven track record in managing cleaning operations across multiple sites or clients.
  • Background in commercial or industrial cleaning, housekeeping, facility management, or hospitality sectors.
  • Competence in managing contract deliverables and consistently achieving KPIs.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching, mentoring, and team development.
  • Ability to cultivate effective stakeholder relationships at various organizational levels.
  • Experience navigating complex operational environments and driving results across distributed teams.

  • Advanced organisational and planning skills, including rostering and workforce management.
  • Keen attention to detail emphasizing quality control and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills to overcome operational challenges.
