Job Overview

We are recruiting a meticulous and professional Cleaner/Housekeeper in Ottawa, Ontario, responsible for sustaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment across our facilities. This role requires working independently to uphold rigorous cleanliness standards and comply with health and safety guidelines.

Key Duties

• Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitizing duties in offices, restrooms, communal spaces, and specialized areas.
• Perform floor care including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping using the correct methods and equipment.
• Sanitize surfaces, fixtures, and equipment adhering to prescribed procedures.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners promptly to ensure proper waste disposal.
• Maintain cleaning supply stock and monitor inventory levels effectively.
• Operate cleaning machinery safely and maintain them properly.
• Report any maintenance needs, damages, or safety concerns promptly to supervisors.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage workload efficiently to complete all assignments within designated timeframes.
• Present a professional appearance and behavior consistently.
• Communicate any special cleaning requirements or issues to managers.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in housekeeping, custodial, or janitorial work is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining superior cleanliness levels.
• Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage time well.
• Physical capability to perform rigorous cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for prolonged periods.
• Competence in the use of cleaning chemicals, products, and devices.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work without close supervision.
• Dependable and punctual with a professional approach.
• Experience with commercial cleaning equipment and eco-friendly cleaning methods are advantages.
• Possession of a valid driver's license may be required depending on assignment sites.
