Chef De Partie - Butcher

Position Overview

This role entails preparing an array of meat cuts, including beef, lamb, and pork, ensuring proper labeling with cut type, date, and destination. The candidate will handle ingredient preparation such as portioning, chopping, and storing, measure and mix components, and cook food following recipes and quality standards. Managing kitchen logs for food safety compliance and maintaining food quality throughout preparation are key responsibilities.

Daily Duties

• Set up and dismantle workstations efficiently.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment thoroughly.
• Use thermostats and thermometers to verify correct temperatures of appliances and food.
• Follow company safety and security protocols, report hazards or accidents to management, and complete necessary safety training.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold company asset protection guidelines.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and support teamwork to achieve shared objectives.
• Adhere strictly to quality standards and expectations.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking extensively, bending, lifting up to 75 pounds safely, and manipulating various kitchen items.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical, Trade, or Vocational School diploma or degree.
• At least two years of relevant professional experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications mandatory.
