About the Role

Join our dynamic team at Canberra Airport as a Catering Attendant in a permanent full-time capacity. This vital role involves preparing and assembling all necessary components to provide a memorable dining experience to airline passengers. As part of a highly regarded team, you'll contribute across kitchen tasks, bar preparation, and dishwashing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle food, plate meals, and assemble meal trays according to designated presentation standards and visual guides.
• Stock airline carts with dry goods, including crockery, cutlery, glassware, packaged snacks, and beverages.
• Manage the loading and unloading of wash lines, ensuring cutlery, crockery, and glassware are in pristine condition.
• Adhere strictly to food safety protocols, HACCP guidelines, hygiene standards, and cleaning schedules.
• Coordinate effectively with team members to meet scheduled delivery times.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient numerical abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Physical capability to stand for extended hours and move or lift items.
• Availability to work shift hours as per a 7-day roster.
• Presentable and neat appearance.
• Desirable but not mandatory: knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP, basic knife skills.
• Must be able to obtain a clear National Police Check due to aviation industry requirements.
• Commitment to 38 hours per week as a full-time employee.
