About the Role

The Cashier position is essential for delivering quick, friendly, accurate, and safe service at checkout points. Cashiers are responsible for handling checkout and return transactions efficiently, while also overseeing the Self-Checkout area to ensure smooth operation. They actively acquire product and project knowledge to assist customers effectively and recognize sales opportunities. Compliance with all policies and procedures is required to reduce losses due to shrinkage.

Responsibilities

Head Cashiers have additional duties, including positioning cashiers, facilitating price checks, authorizing certain point-of-sale transactions and markdowns across registers and specialized services, as well as providing first-level resolution for customer concerns. They also support, coach, and train front-end associates and new Cashiers utilizing available training resources.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience of one or more years as a Cashier is preferred for those seeking the Head Cashier role.
