Position Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Cashier offers an opportunity to enhance your retail industry skills. In this role, you will ensure exceptional customer service throughout the checkout process to foster customer loyalty. The Cashier is also responsible for protecting company assets with close attention to detail, embodying the role of a loss prevention champion. Key Responsibilities

• Greet every customer politely and warmly.
• Efficiently handle all purchase transactions, including deactivating merchandise according to the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) Program.
• Advertise company-sponsored programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charity initiatives.
• Assist customers in bagging and loading their purchases.
• Adhere to safe working practices including proper lifting techniques and maintaining a tidy work environment.
• Maintain register security and cash handling integrity by following company policies and staying alert to surroundings.
• Refer any relevant service or transaction issues to the Customer Service Manager as necessary.

Compensation

The base hourly wage for this role begins at 17.75 CAD.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
