About Wynn Al Marjan Island

Wynn Al Marjan Island is poised to become the UAE's first integrated resort, scheduled to open in 2027. Located approximately 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in Ras Al Khaimah, the resort will encompass 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 dining venues including restaurants and bars, a theater, and a beach club. Additional amenities will feature multiple swimming pools, a luxury spa, salon, a shopping promenade, and a dedicated events and celebrations center.

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to join the Theater Operations team at Wynn Al Marjan Island. This role involves constructing, assembling, and maintaining scenic elements to support theater productions, working closely with the Master Carpenter and other technical departments to ensure the smooth presentation of shows.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in building and assembling scenic components based on detailed technical drawings and specifications.
• Support the Master Carpenter in installing and rigging scenery on both stage and backstage areas.
• Carry out routine upkeep and repairs on scenic elements throughout production runs.
• Coordinate with lighting, audio, and props teams to facilitate integration of scenic pieces.
• Participate in load-ins, load-outs, and strike processes as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the scene shop and backstage zones.
• Strictly adhere to safety protocols during all construction and installation work.
• Offer assistance with show operations as required.
• Operate power tools and machinery with care and proficiency.
• Help manage inventory of scenic materials and tools.
• Attend production meetings, technical rehearsals, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical theatre certification is a plus.
• Experience: At least 2 years in theatrical carpentry or scenic construction.
• Good understanding of technical drawings and construction blueprints.
• Proficient knowledge of stagecraft and theatrical construction techniques.
• Skilled in using both hand and power tools relevant to scenic building.
• Capable of lifting heavy items and working at heights as necessary.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Awareness and compliance with UAE health and safety requirements.
