Care Technician

Position Overview

The Care Technician role requires performing scheduled preventive upkeep and minor repairs across guest rooms, meeting areas, and public spaces to maintain the high standards of The Ritz-Carlton experience. Duties include mattress flipping and inspection, bed frame assembly, carpet and upholstery spot cleaning, dusting, touch-up painting and furniture care, as well as hardware and appliance checks to ensure everything is functional.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance procedures in accordance with property guidelines in guest rooms and public areas.
• Carry out minor repairs such as tightening loose fittings, changing bulbs, patching wall holes, and repairing grout and caulking.
• Perform thorough cleaning of guest room surfaces including tubs, tiles, floors, walls, windows, and mirrors.
• Report critical maintenance issues, unusual problems, or safety risks promptly to management.
• Uphold all company safety, security policies, and quality standards while maintaining confidentiality and professional appearance.
• Engage warmly with guests, anticipating and responding to their service needs professionally.
• Maintain positive relationships within the team to achieve common objectives.
• Physically handle tasks that involve lifting, moving, or carrying objects up to and over 50 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods.
• Complete additional reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum education level: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Less than one year experience in related maintenance or hospitality roles preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications mandated.
