Role Summary
The Busser plays an essential support role in enhancing guest service by assisting servers with table clearing and resetting, replenishing water and tea, and stocking necessary items like plates and silverware. The position requires ensuring timely table turnover, excellent guest experience, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the dining environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables in line with Panda's standards, including proper setting of silverware and condiments.
- Provide guests with ice water and hot tea promptly upon seating.
- Support servers by assisting in serving orders and removing finished plates gently.
- Alert servers when delivering beverages to ensure proper charging.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly inform servers of any concerns.
- Prepare and replenish server stations and supplies ahead of busy periods.
- Maintain cleanliness of table linens, silverware, glassware, dining areas, and restrooms.
- Perform opening, ongoing, and closing side work as required.
- Stay alert to safety hazards and report incidents immediately to management.
- Handle company property and equipment responsibly.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
The role involves standing for extended periods, frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds, and working in hot, noisy kitchen and dining environments. Employees must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting, manage communication effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and handle conflict diplomatically.
