Position Overview
This role is for a Business Unit Leader situated in the United States, offering a senior-level executive opportunity to steer strategy, operations, and sustainable growth within a vibrant organization. The position demands a blend of strategic foresight, financial accountability, operational mastery, and strong leadership to enhance overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulating and implementing long-term, annual, and quarterly strategic plans including setting financial targets, operational goals, succession planning, and leadership development strategies.
- Delivering strategic reviews, operational updates, and business performance presentations to executive stakeholders.
- Managing financial planning processes such as quarterly forecasting, long-term profit and loss projections, revenue strategies, and ongoing performance monitoring.
- Defining product roadmaps and customer-centric strategic initiatives to promote business expansion.
- Setting measurable targets and scorecards across teams to foster accountability and effective execution.
- Building organizational strengths by recognizing high-potential employees, designing development plans, and reinforcing leadership capabilities.
- Tracking critical business and financial metrics to inform decision-making and continuous operational improvements.
- Achieving key performance indicators including recurring revenue, renewals, pricing strategies, billing accuracy, collections, and working capital enhancements.
- Conducting quarterly business and operational reviews, providing insights and recommendations.
- Overseeing functional leaders, mentoring management teams, and enhancing organizational performance while making strategic hiring decisions.
- Acting as an executive sponsor for principal customers and partners to nurture relationships, revenue growth, and strategic projects.
- Engaging in resolving complex cross-departmental challenges relating to sales, delivery, product development, operations, and resources.
- Identifying and mitigating operational and business risks, ensuring robust risk management frameworks.
- Supporting the assessment, integration, and management of acquisitions and other strategic business ventures.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in business leadership roles such as general management or operations management at the executive level.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic plans delivering tangible financial and operational results.
- Deep knowledge of profit and loss management, financial forecasting, revenue optimization, and performance analytics.
- Proven experience in leading diverse cross-functional teams and managing senior leadership.
- Excellent leadership skills combined with coaching, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong capability to translate broad business objectives into actionable execution plans.
- Established track record in managing client relationships, partnership development, and commercial growth initiatives.
- Analytical thinker adept in leveraging data and metrics to guide strategic decisions.
- Experienced in identifying risks and leading initiatives to address operational challenges and improvements.
- Knowledge of mergers, acquisitions, integrations, or transformational business initiatives is advantageous.
- Comfortable working remotely while effectively collaborating with geographically distributed teams.
