About The Team
The Strategy and Analytics group enhances Operations' effectiveness across Stripe. Acting as COOs for the Ops team, they collaborate globally to manage daily operations and execute long-term strategic priorities using a data-driven approach to tackle complex business challenges while overseeing business planning and operational flow from strategy to execution.
Role Overview
This position serves as the principal expert for a specific business domain, accountable for delivering essential insights and fostering data-driven decisions. It includes partnering with leadership on business strategy, planning, goal setting, performance tracking, and leading critical projects and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Transform large, complex datasets with SQL into meaningful insights, becoming the data authority for your area; develop metrics and dashboards for monitoring user-facing and internal team performance; apply analytical tools and modeling to identify trends, conduct research, and deliver objective insights that inform leadership on opportunities and risks.
- Craft compelling narratives and documentation to effectively communicate the state of your business area, influencing high-level decision-makers including senior Operations leaders and executives.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and change by engaging with a broad network of global teams such as Ops, Finance, Data Science, Product, and Engineering.
- Design and enhance operational reviews and business rhythms; lead the planning and goal-setting activities and ongoing progress assessments with a focus on ROI to optimize operational decisions and trade-offs.
- Support financial crimes forecasting and planning, spanning near-term to long-term horizons, to empower strategic decision-making by leadership.
Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 8 years experience in analytical and strategic roles, including management consulting, go-to-market, operations, support, risk, strategy, or financial services.
- Strong problem-solving skills with advanced proficiency in SQL and data relationship understanding.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to seamlessly transition between strategic overview and detailed execution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in fast-paced settings such as high-growth internet/software companies or management consulting.
- Expertise in structured problem-solving coupled with business acumen.
- Familiarity with Tableau for data visualization.
Work Environment

Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this role in Dublin ranges from €93,700 to €140,500, potentially adjusted for other locations and reflecting various career levels.
