Job Overview
The Business Operations Coordinator will oversee the monitoring, controlling, and management of business operations to align with customer requirements and organizational objectives. This position is fully remote with location specifics to be discussed during the interview process.
Responsibilities
- Emphasize safety as the highest priority and ensure all employees adhere to safe work protocols.
- Support Service Managers with daily coordination and management of operational tasks.
- Oversee business operations to ensure client satisfaction and the achievement of company goals.
- Act as a liaison between customers and management to facilitate smooth operations.
- Organize and manage project tasks to meet budget and timeline requirements.
- Ensure adherence to company standards and established procedures.
- Maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and meetings.
- Lead internal project meetings with various stakeholders and document minutes accurately.
- Schedule and participate in external project meetings while recording meeting details.
- Drive resolution of high-priority project issues promptly to completion.
- Analyze operational performance and suggest strategic improvements.
- Provide guidance to internal teams to reach performance objectives.
- Identify and resolve operational process challenges swiftly.
- Follow standard operating procedures to optimize business operations.
- Keep thorough and accurate records of operational documents and procedures.
- Perform essential administrative duties as required.
- Establish and maintain a project filing system.
- Assign cost codes to vendor invoices and verify their accuracy.
- Prepare and document extra work orders.
- Inform subcontractors about change orders and follow up accordingly.
- Prepare subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Assist Service Managers with monthly job profitability assessments and collaborate internally to meet profit goals.
- Track Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) work orders, review completeness, and approve or reject for invoicing.
- Create invoices for project managers’ review and approval before submission to owners.
- Evaluate and recommend process improvements and collaborate on adopting new technologies.
- Promote diversity and inclusion as a fundamental aspect of SOLV Energy’s organizational culture.
Performance Metrics
- Compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintenance of current and standardized job-site documentation.
- Timely and accurate preparation of extra work orders, subcontracts, purchase orders, and order status follow-ups.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in contracts and change order management.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and self-motivation.
- Encourage teamwork and collaboration among colleagues.
- Experience working in a diverse, multi-disciplinary, employee-owned workplace is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills capable of articulating a clear vision and executing plans.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $60,632 to $75,732.80 annually.
