Role Purpose
This role as Business Manager involves leading the frontline business activities for Airtel DTH within a designated territory. The incumbent will analyze market demographics with responsibilities spanning driving sales, handling end-to-end customer service, and optimizing market share and revenue through a robust Go-To-Market strategy utilizing Airtel's extensive distribution network. Management of service centers, inventory, after-sales support, and escalation resolution are key responsibilities. Partner relationships will be cultivated to strengthen business growth through a 'Serve to Sell' approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand and reinforce the sales and distribution channels by increasing activation and transaction outlets for DTH services across the area.
- Guarantee multiple recharge options are accessible to cater to the existing customer base efficiently.
- Implement relationship-building initiatives and facilitate workplace training sessions for retailers and field sales executives.
- Maintain brand prominence through well-orchestrated merchandising efforts.
- Achieve targets related to gross and net additions within the allocated region.
- Ensure installation engineers adhere to company policies; oversee customer service level agreements are fulfilled.
- Supervise teams tasked with installation, maintenance, and repair activities ensuring adherence to correct procedures.
- Address service request closures actively and resolve escalated customer grievances.
- Maintain sufficient stock levels of necessary installation tools and equipment.
- Drive customer upgrades to newer service plans and packages.
Essential Skills & Attributes
- Strong analytical skills for identifying gaps, trends, and solving problems effectively.
- Organized approach with solid time-management capabilities.
- Familiarity with process workflows and product-specific knowledge relevant to the DTH sector.
- Excellent abilities in consultation, facilitation, negotiation, and sales techniques.
- Competence in managing partner relationships and upselling products.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Educational & Professional Qualifications
- Applicants must hold a full-time graduate degree.
- Channel sales experience is advantageous.
