Position Overview

As a BIM Modeler reporting to the BIM Coordinator, you will collaborate with a skilled team of BIM experts, designers, and engineers to support project delivery by developing detailed 3D models and construction documentation following industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender and IFC models including 2D drawings, BIM models, and asset data aligned with ISO 19650 standards.
• Create and update design documents and details by modeling in Revit, and generate plans, sections, elevations, and schedules.
• Maintain well-structured BIM models adhering to best industry practices.
• Convert 2D CAD or construction documents into intelligent 3D models effectively.
• Conduct clash detection processes and support interdisciplinary clash avoidance.
• Ensure model quality assurance and control, assisting coordination teams during design and construction stages.
• Support creation and management of as-built documentation and handover materials.
• Maintain templates, content libraries, and enforce project standards rigorously.
• Update models as per RFIs, design revisions, and engineer instructions.
• Detect discrepancies in contract documents and communicate these with appropriate team members.
• Provide timely, accurate BIM data updates to the BIM Coordinator and project team.
• Submit finalized work to document controllers for filing and distribution.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in BIM modeling within construction or engineering contexts.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential.
• Knowledge of Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other BIM-related tools is advantageous.
• Strong grasp of BIM procedures, ISO 19650 standards, and model health management.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and produce precise documentation.
• Competence in conducting clash detection and supporting coordination efforts.
