Overview

Join the vibrant team at Ryman Healthcare's Pioneers Café located in Christchurch. We are looking for a friendly, skilled Barista to consistently craft delightful coffee and beverages in a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently prepare high-quality coffee and other beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the café area.
• Deliver excellent food and drink services to staff, customers, and visitors.
• Create a welcoming and compassionate atmosphere in the café setting.
• Collaborate and support fellow team members.

Work Schedule and Requirements

This full-time role is Monday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM at our Russley Road location. Handling alcohol requires candidates to have a License Controller Qualification (LCQ) and a Duty Manager’s License.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Barista in a fast-paced café environment is essential.
• Excellent communication abilities and customer service proficiency, capable of multitasking with coffee preparation, serving, and food handling.
• Friendly, approachable with strong empathy and professionalism.
• Dependable and able to thrive under pressure in a busy environment.
• Applicants must possess valid New Zealand work rights due to immigration constraints.
