About the Role
The Bar Back position at Twin Peaks Restaurants involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area while supporting the beverage program. The role demands a high standard of pride, discipline, and teamwork alongside the bartenders to ensure a smooth bar operation.
Uniform Standards
- Wear a clean Twin Peaks black hat facing forward with no bent brim.
- Maintain clean hair completely covered under the hat.
- Be clean-shaven; beards and mustaches are permitted if well-groomed.
- Keep fingernails trimmed at all times.
- No jewelry allowed on ears, face, neck, or wrists.
- No use of headphones or earbuds while working.
- Wear a clean, non-wrinkled, non-faded Twin Peaks kitchen shirt tucked in.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold uniform policies and all bar-related cleanliness and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain well-organized workstations and bar equipment.
- Enforce House of Hospitality (HOH) standards along with safety, sanitation, and Global Harmonized System (GHS) protocols.
- Collaborate effectively as part of the bar team.
- Complete training via tablets or computer systems as assigned.
- Operate efficiently in a fast-paced bar environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Assist with opening and closing tasks including restocking, cleaning, and mopping.
- Ensure the bar remains fully stocked at all times.
- Handle keg changes, inspect taps and appliances to verify proper function and maintenance.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Bar Back required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and understand bar sanitation policies.
- Practical reasoning skills to follow simple instructions and adapt to routine situations.
- Mandatory participation in orientation and training programs, including compliance certifications related to food and alcohol service as per local and state regulations.
Physical and Environmental Considerations
- Must be able to stand and walk frequently, use hands for handling objects, and have good hearing and vision capabilities.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 30 pounds is required.
- Work environment includes exposure to airborne kitchen particles and humidity in dish and walk-in cooler areas.
- Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals and cigarette or cigar smoke in designated smoking sections.
