The company leads in environmentally responsible sourcing, including sustainable seafood and cage-free eggs, and emphasizes cooking from scratch with fresh, local ingredients. They are currently seeking Bakers for full-time and part-time roles located at SCAD, 231 West Boundary Street, Savannah, GA 31401.

Job Overview

As a Baker, you will prepare a variety of baked goods including breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and pastries according to precise recipes and production standards. You will assist with production planning and ensure food safety and quality standards are maintained throughout your shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare baked items following recipes and production directives.
• Contribute to planning daily production to meet demand.
• Maintain food safety by adhering to approved recipes, correct usage of equipment, and sanitation protocols.
• Record production details, track waste, and report inventory shortages to supervisors.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, serving temperatures, and maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and preparation areas.
• Handle all food items safely and follow corporate and OSHA safety regulations.
• Engage with customers professionally, resolving complaints courteously and escalating concerns as needed.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and thoroughly within shift timelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in baking and food service is required.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to work varying schedules including weekends and evenings.

Work Schedule & Location

Positions are available full-time and part-time, with schedules that may vary including weekend and evening shifts. Location is on-site at SCAD, Savannah, GA.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage ranging from $16 to $19, with shift premiums for weekend and evening work.
