Role Overview

The Associate Commercial Analyst will support the sales teams by analyzing data to optimize processes, products, services, and software. This position centers on driving growth initiatives alongside business leaders, playing a vital role in enhancing the dubizzle and Bayut market presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in setting targets for the Property Inside Sales and Jobs verticals and monitor performance against those objectives.
• Create, update, and automate dashboards and reports to track business performance, sales productivity, operational KPIs, and commercial metrics effectively.
• Conduct thorough analyses on extensive, multi-source datasets to uncover business opportunities, detect inefficiencies, and propose revenue growth strategies.
• Keep a close watch on competitors’ activities, including pricing and business models, offering actionable suggestions to strengthen market position.
• Partner with teams in Product, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Sales to supply analytic insights that underpin data-driven strategies and informed decisions.
• Develop and sustain self-service reporting tools and data solutions enabling business users to access insights independently.
• Design executive dashboards, presentations, and documentation that convert complex data into strategic insights for senior management and client proposals.
• Support financial functions like budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, and business planning along with the Strategy and Finance departments.
• Help manage and track commercial and financial performance of the Property and Jobs verticals through ongoing reviews and analysis.
• Collaborate with the Central Data Team and sales divisions to provide timely analytical support and meet data requirements.
• Spend considerable time working alongside the Sales team on the floor to understand challenges, provide sales enablement resources, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in 2-3 client meetings monthly, assisting Sales Account Managers with insights, presentations, proposals, and recommendations based on data.
• Ensure business data accuracy by validating reports and addressing data quality concerns.
• Lead automation efforts to increase reporting efficiency, streamline processes, and maximize revenue potential.
• Manage analytical projects within deadlines while juggling multiple priorities and collaborating with other analysts if needed.
• Independently tackle complex business challenges by identifying operational improvements and delivering feasible data-driven solutions.
• Directly assist the Director of Property Inside Sales & Jobs on strategic projects, business reviews, commercial analyses, and consultative problem-solving.
• Proactively suggest ways to enhance revenue, client success, operational efficiency, and overall business performance through detailed analysis.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, or an equivalent field.
• Two to three years of experience in strategy, business analytics, or sales enablement roles, ideally within an internet or e-commerce product setting.
• Background in e-commerce, internet, or digital media sectors.
• Proficient with SQL for data querying and extraction.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Business Intelligence dashboarding tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Understanding of commercial and financial principles.
• Ability to process large datasets, derive insights, and inform operational decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
